Title : 2007 Steeda Ford Fusion

2007 Steeda Ford Fusion

As the world's largest vendor of Mustang aftermarket parts, Steeda Autosports knows how to make Fords run-and run hard. With the GT Fusion package ($5995), even doses of power, handling, and style are added to generate a practical commuter with attitude.

The GT Fusion is fortified with Steeda's cold-air induction kit, a specially calibrated engine computer, and a performance exhaust system with stainless-steel tips. The result is a dyno-verified 31-horse increase along with an aggressive exhaust growl. Added engine bay flash comes from billet filler neck caps for the oil, brake, and washer systems. With 252 horses on tap, the Grand Touring Fusion slices a half second off 0-to-60-mph times and delivers better passing power at freeway speeds. If 31 horsepower isn't enough, consider Steeda's upcoming supercharger system.

Steeda engineers have developed an upgraded suspension package for the Fusion that improves handling without generating a tooth-rattling ride. A unique Chromoly front strut tower brace delivers chassis rigidity while Steeda's 20-percent-stiffer Sport springs drop ride height by 1.2 inches. Big 18x 8.5-inch lightweight alloy wheels work with Nitto Invo 245/40R18 tires to better grab the tarmac, and Steeda's slotted performance rotors (along with the improved suspension) chop 11 feet from 60-to-0-mph stops.

Externally, the Grand Touring Fusion uses a European-style 3D Carbon body kit that includes a lower front chin spoiler, side skirts, a rear valence, and Steeda's unique graphics package.

The Fusion's interior is upgraded with custom leather seating, instrument-panel accents, special floormats, billet doorsill plates, and Steeda badging.

This Grand Touring Fusion is a well-balanced package at a fair price. And having Steeda by your side, a commuter car no longer need be a penalty box. In fact, with the added flash and go, dads might even volunteer to take the kids to school.
